On Sunday 10 November, R’Damnit sent for the first time a team to the NFB women’s indoor competition. The ladies had been assigned pool A to start with and played three 40 minute-long games against AUC Women 1, Airborn Dames and UFO Dames.
The first indoor competition day was looking quite challenging for the ladies. Initially, the five warriors were ready to play savage against the other much more experienced teams. Luckily for them as a glorious last-minute notice, Rocio and Sara, two ex-Rotterdammers that had been absent for over a year joined the team and spirited everyone.
Even though the three games were lost, the ladies played till the end to the best of their ability and managed to score in every single game. Moreover, points were fought with perseverance and determination, ensuring that all players involved in the point touched the disc. All in all, it was a fun day that resulted in a great learning experience. Special thanks for all the coaching received from Rosario Gomes that, despite her back injury, joined the team and supported the ladies. In the meantime, getting ready for the second indoor day on December 8 in Leek.
