The joint team between Force Elektro and R’damnit went to the fields of Rijswijk last Sunday 15-09-13 to take on the third division. Our first match of the day was against Meer Ultimate Graag (MUG) from Haarlem. Sure, MUG has not been a club that long, but all their players were looking feisty and intimidating during their warm up, so we prepared ourselves for a fight. Our team had a good connection from the start of the match and took an early lead. Terrified that MUG would channel their inner champion at any minute we fought on. Our wariness proved founded after a three point run by MUG. Luckily we were able to shut them down once more and took victory with an impressive 15-5 victory.
Our second match was against the organizing team of Ultimus Prime. Given the friendly rivalry between FE and UP, we were once again ready for a serious match from point 1. UP was missing some of their strong players but still put on one hell of a fight. At half time many of us were genuinely surprised to see that we had an 0-8 lead… that couldn’t be right. Trying to rest our poor 5 guys (we had to play each match with only 3 women on the line), we set up both a confining zone and a trap zone on alternating points. Although the confining zone had some success, our trap zone was a small disaster given the lack of wind and our lack of practice at that particular zone. Despite the toll on our energy (at least for the women) the zone took, we still managed to maintain our lead and took the win at 15-3.
We prepared for our match against UTKA by watching the exciting (and lengthy) end of the MUG-UTKA match. UTKA took that match 14-13 on universe point and had us quaking in our football boots with their speed and fighting spirit. We therefore entered our match against UTKA somewhat nervous but full of focus wanting to deny them everything from the get and go and to maybe exploit the fact that they were tired… surely they must have been tired after their match against MUG. There was luck on both sides with some awesome garbage scores and catches by UTKA but we got a few close calls in there as well. Our extra energy and focus proved decisive and we managed to secure another victory with 15-6. With three victories under our invisible belts we secured a promotion back up to the second division. Lets hope we fare better up there this time around.
On the first of September the combination team of Force Elektro and R’damnit went to Arnhem to take on the rest of the second division. Arriving there around 10 in the morning we were soon to face the reality of the day, many many skilled ulitimate players.
The day started out with our match against GD. After several points of amazingly good team play, perhaps shocked to be winning, we fell apart a little and GD took the lead. Although we became more competitive once more following halftime, but GD had already run away with the lead and continued to play solid ultimate, leading them to a 15-7 victory.
Our next battle was against the host team: Airborn. again we took an early lead, and again we lost it. But there followed a very intense fight after that, which we emerged victorious: 12-10. After some more healthy snacks and chatter we faced Crunch 2. They had won both their matches so far withe a pretty 15-10. Following a very mixed match (both in terms of gender and strategy) which brought out our best fight, we managed a 15-11 loss.
It was a tough day in the second division, we fought hard, had a good day´s worth of ultimate and a nice beer or two at the end. Unfortunately we demoted to the third division.
Sunday 07-07-2013 we have been competing in the Hargen Beach Tournament. We won’t take about the first day, this day was used to warm-up. So the second day was a new beginning of the tournament where we will show that R’damnit is growing each day. See some awesome attached action photo’s for your self.
After a good start on the first competition day with 2 wins and 1 loss, we were eager to play our best on the second day as well. After a really early sundaymorning wake-up call and a two and a half hour drive, we arrived in Groningen to face the organizing team Gronical Dizziness 2 in the first match of the day. In almost perfect conditions with the sun shining on a wind still field, we started the game really strong. With our fast breakouts and tight marking we dominated the first half, with Oscar even scoring a Callahan! After the break started out a bit more sloppy and GD took advantage of our weak spots and came back a little, but we soon got ourselves together and finished the game off with a 15-6 win.
For the second match we were facing Veenendaal Tijgers who came from the 4th Division. Because they had only one sub, they played zone, wich turned out to be a tough exercise for us. Until the break we were evenly balanced with 7-7, and it was a really challenging match. After the break we were playing some tight handling, wearing our opponents out, and we started to dominate the game a bit more resulting in a 13-10 win. But if Veenendaal had a few more subs it could have been a really long and evenly match untill a winner came out.
With two wins in the pocket we knew we had a chance to promote to the 4th division. Only Panic was standing in our way to do this. In Rijswijk we already encountered Panic, and after a evenly matched game we came out on top with a 8-5 win so we knew they have some good players, and we had to do our best to beat them. But it wasn’t their day, and because of our speed, solid defenses, and quick breakouts we were soon on a very comfortable lead. When we were about 10 points ahead, Panic came back a few points to avoid a complete walkover, resulting in a 15-5 win for us at the end.
And with these 3 wins we assured a promotion to the 4th division! On the 26th of May we will see how we will do in a division higher!
We are one step further in creating the most awesome Ultimate club in the Netherlands 😉
We have a new logo, facebook page, and we updated the website!
Our primary goal was to get a steady group of people committed to attend to a weekly training in the first couple of months.
This went beyond our expectations. That’s why since the 1st of March 2013 we formed an official sports club, we signed up at the chamber of commerce and we signed in for the outdoor competition 2013.
With around 20 members, 15 competition players, and a steady group of roughly 10-15 players who attend to the weekly trainings we have a good base now. But obviously we would like to grow some more. So besides performing as good as possible in our first ever competition as R’damnit, we will be doing various promotional activities this year to make our name in the region, get people enthusiastic for Ultimate, and enlarge our memberships.
So keep an eye on our website and our R’damnit facebook page for these activities.
First of all we want to give a brief update on our progress so far.
When we started our initiative to form an ultimate frisbee team in Rotterdam a couple of months ago, we could only have dreamed that we would be where we are right now!
After a few “park-trainings” we found a field at WION Rotterdam where we have been training once a week since November. And despite the snow we had a few weeks ago, and the cold temperature last week, the lowest attendance we had was about 10 people!!! So this shows something about the dedication of our members!
Next Thursday (20-12-2012) we will have our last training of 2012 since the field will be closed on 27-12. So lets make this final training a blast!!! We will continue our trainings 03-01-2013.
Hopefully till Thursday, otherwise the best wishes and till next year!
We are very happy to announce the we have found ourselves a suitable field in Rotterdam where we will be training every Thursday evening from 19:00 to 21:00.
This will be untill Thursday 14-03-2013.
This will be at W.I.O.N. Rotterdam. The adress is Max Planckplaats 300, 3068 ZH

Metrostation Binnenhof (the final stop for the metro to Ommoord) is right next to the fields. There is also more than enough parkingspace should you come by car.
Are you interested in becoming a member of our club, or do you have any other questions, please feel free to use our contact form, and we will anwser you questions as soon as possible.
During the Valley Frisbee Games 2012 in Veenendaal we played our first Right to Play tournament. And with only one close loss (5-6), one draw and two good wins we ended up in 5th place out of 12 teams.
We are very satisfied with this result, and are looking forward to our next official game!!
Thnx for playing
